This morning, I only have a few minutes because we are trying to get back to the border.
Yesterday we had some unexpected challenges at the border but I was really proud of how our Ambassadors responded. Yesterday was a long and hot day but what a bonding memory it was. Years from now, our guys will look back on the experience of not getting into Mexico and be grateful for the very rich experience.
Today is a new day and we are going to go again. This afternoon, we have a game scheduled at 4:00 p.m. We are playing a team that needs to hear about Jesus so pray that the Lord opens the door for us to get to Saltillo. Yesterday we were turned away because they would not accept our letter for the vehicles. Today, we have adjusted the letter to all of their requests so "Lord Willing", we will not have any problems. They also told us that they would not allow us to take the trailer to Mexico and within 20 minutes of discovering our trailer would not be of any use to us, God provided a trailer from Harlingen Texas and it will be in the parking lot by 7:30 this morning. I wish I could go into detail of how that came to be but let me suffice it to say, God is a great provider. It just makes me laugh.
Who knows why the door was not opened for us yesterday. Maybe we had some ministry to do here at the hotel last night. We had a short team meeting and the staff of the hotel was able to rub shoulders with the Ambassadors. Maybe the Lord sent us here to touch a few folks in Laredo.
One thing is for certain is that we trust the Lord and we are going to follow Him today. Please keep praying for us. Lee and James Tunnell left OKC this morning to fly to Monterey. We hope to be able to pick them up from the airport by noon.
Every day, we will post something on this blog to keep you all updated about what is happening on our trip.
Throughout my life, I have seen a lot of Christians who have been bored. Something is big-time wrong with that because it is absolutely impossible to follow the hand of the God of all Creation and be bored. We are certainly not bored today. We are on an incredible adventure with our Savior and it is a great ride.
Thank you all for your prayers. We will take them all this week.
